Fishing City and County park ponds
Here is a list of most of the city and county ponds they stock with trout every winter, I have not fished them all but will give what info I have. Most are typical stock ponds with park like atmosphere. They all have an open and closing time as well as catch and release on bass and bag limits on catfish.
American Legion Park Pond Missouri City on Lexington Drive off FM1092
I have fished it many times. It is a rectangle lake with deep water in the center. Has Bass, Bream catfish and carp. They stock rainbows in the winter.
Bane Park Lake Houston NW Harris County (formerly Central Park), travel northwest from Houston on Hwy 290 to Little York Road exit, take West Little York Road about one mile, park is on the left at the junction of West Little York and North Gessner
I fish it all the time since it
is close to my home. It is shallow around the edges so the weeds sometimes get
bad along the edges. It has some large Bass and catfish as well as bream, and
carp. It also has a great playground for the kids and a restroom.

It is also one of my favorite places to fish. It
is large and has big bass, catfish, bream and carp. They cleaned out most of the
weeds this winter and made it easier to fish. It has restrooms, bike trails and
playgrounds.

The only sand pit lake in a park, it is huge and 90 feet deep. They have stocked breeder trout and they have been caught in August so I hope it will be a reproducing lake. It has 2 islands at one end and a shallow section at the other. It has bass, Bream, catfish and trout as well as restrooms and play grounds.
