The January
2006 trip to the
Shonto Ranch was great.
Jim and I caught quite a few fish many over 5
pounds. We also caught Bass, Blue gill, Crappie and Catfish. I have more
information on future fishing trips if you click the link. See below for
the next trip in February I have a few spaces left so contact me before

The
February 2006 trip to the Shonto Ranch was with the Katy fly fishing
group. We met for dinner on Friday and Saturday night to talk flyfishing
and learn about each other. Saturday morning we started fishing at dawn.
Jim and I went to different areas to work on casting skills and teaching
how to catch a trout or any fish on a fly rod. I brought several rods for
people to try and luckily brought some heaver rods as the wind was a
killer. Several had not used a fly rod much and some had never caught a
fish on a fly rod.
I caught the State record Trout but released it so someone else can catch
it.
